Corn and soybeans finished higher ahead of the holiday weekend as continued short covering on the back of trade rumors and potential weather worries ahead of the long weekend were seen.

At the end of the day, December corn was 4 higher, with the November soybean board up a penny. Chicago wheat finished its session 7 lower, while Kansas City wheat was down 6 and Minneapolis was off 2. For the week, corn finished 10 higher, with soybeans up 24. Chicago wheat added 16.
